Blue skies

Grays turn to greens

Month of new life

Plants flex their muscles

Stems thrust up

Roots push down

Slow and forceful

Long ago

We crossed a sea

Received a gift

Month of liberation

Free from bondage

Redeemed from constriction

Tightness moves to openness
